Anyone who uses design tools to innovate using food or tries to solve a problem through food as a medium becomes a food designer. I believe designers no longer stick to the norms dictated by society. We are no longer restricted to creating just tangible products. Designers around the globe have started studying intangible aspects of society and questioning their values, ideals, and traditions. And Food is such a powerful subject to study its influence on human behavior, the rituals around it and it’s such a fascinating subject as it is connected to every layer of life from emotions to politics and much more.
The world of food is much bigger than the kitchen. My job is to bring awareness to people that food is much bigger than what is on their plate. As a Food Designer, my mission is to help us reimagine and reshape our future to be more sustainable by making shifts in the ways we connect with food right now.
